Happy Birthday to Me!

Today is my birthday. After 21 I stopped keeping track of my age, so in my mind I will be 21 forever. I'm actually much younger at heart. Sometimes I don't feel much older than some of these pictures. Aaron laughs at me because I LOVE Disney movies. In fact I actually bought 101 Dalmatians yesterday and I really enjoyed watching it. I hope I always stay young at heart. Anyways, I decided to post some pictures of me over the years. Here I am at 3 months old. If you look at my baby picture, my dad's, sister's and brother's baby pictures we all look very similar.
I was quite the happy baby. I think I am about a year old here with my dad.
Here I am around 3 0r 4 years old with my cute little sister.
Here I am with Aaron posing for our engagement picture. I feel so lucky to have him as a husband and best friend. It's hard to believe we've been together for over 7 years. Time sure flies by, but I can't imagine life without Aaron.
Here we are at the Phoenix International Raceway last year for the Nascar race.

I really don't have any pictures of the 4 of us (Aaron, Precious, Armstrong and myself), but I tend to blog a lot about my 2 babies. I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful family and I couldn't wish for anything more. I am so thankful for all of my great friends and family and just want you all to know that I appreciate all of you! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

Easter Egg Hunt

The twins were so cute looking for eggs. Olivia was on a mission. There was a certain amount of eggs for each of them and as she found an egg she would count it out loud and frantically look for the next one. She was quite the egg hunter. She found eggs no one else could find. It was hilarious to watch her go.
Alicia really liked looking for eggs too. Since she is older than the twins she couldn't get the obvious eggs. Frankie, Lorenzo, Eddie & Gramps had a lot of fun hiding the eggs for the kids and they had some tricky spots, but the kids found all of them.
Olivia, "The Egg Hunter" trying to get an egg just out of reach. Lorenzo ended up giving her a boost to get the egg while little Tito looked on.
All 3 of the kids spotted the egg at the same time and tried to get it. It was out of reach so the kids started shaking the tree until adults came over to get a boost. Tito ended up getting the prized egg.
After the egg hunt everyone played cards and had a great time visiting. When it was time to leave we found Olivia laying by the door looking at Precious & Armstrong. Armstrong at first was laying there just like Olivia. It was so cute. Olivia wanted to keep Armstrong, but we just can't give up our little boy. We had a great time visiting with Aaron's family and were glad we were invited to the Easter festivities.

Easter Sunday

This weekend we went to New Mexico. We had a great time on Saturday exploring Santa Fe and visiting with Aaron's grandparents. On Sunday we went to Aaron cousin's house for an Easter BBQ. We had a great time and Precious & Armstrong enjoyed playing with the kids.
Here's Armstrong getting a belly rub from Alicia.
Precious & Armstrong enjoyed drinking out of the water fountain in the backyard.
Gramps trying to get Armstrong to play fetch. Armstrong would chase the ball, but didn't quite bring it back. Gramps seemed to really enjoy playing with the dogs.
Olivia really loved Armstrong. She kept wanting him to come inside the house to play with her.
Armstrong really enjoyed chasing Tito and licking him. The kids are getting so big. The twins are almost 6 and Alicia is 11. We had a great time seeing them.

Chasing Rabbits

Armstrong and Precious had quite the fun time this afternoon. I had to run a bunch of errands today so they were in the car for quite a long time. As a reward they got a doggie biscuit from the bakery today and then I took them out to the field after work. As soon as we got to the field Precious ran off to chase rabbits. We have had so many emerging lately so the dogs love to chase them. Actually Armstrong rarely takes interest in chasing other animals, but today was different. There was a rabbit sitting on the other side of the fence and Armstrong sniffed it out, but couldn't see it. I watched him and so did the rabbit, then the rabbit decided to take off. Armstrong actually chased him around the fence, then the rabbit decided to come in the field and Armstrong was right on his tail. I've never seen our little chubby boy run sooo fast. He was so excited to chase the rabbit and that rabbit was fast. He probably would have caught it if a tumble weed hadn't caught Armstrong first. It was so much fun to watch the two dogs chase rabbits today, the perfect way to relax at the end of the work day.

Camping at Roosevelt Lake

We camped for a few days with Janae, Ryan, Kinlee & Blake. We had a great time relaxing near Roosevelt Lake.
Here is an overview of our campsite. It was nice and warm while we were camping and there wasn't anyone nearby.
Precious & Armstrong relaxing in the trailer while we played some games.
Kinlee & Armstrong really like each other. They had so much fun playing together through the whole camping trip. Kinlee actually spent the first night in our trailer and Armstrong slept right by her all night.
The kids enjoyed climbing the tree in our campsite.
Precious loved playing in the sand. She dug herself a den under the trailer and loved hanging out under there.

Nature's Beauty

We camped by Roosevelt Lake and we saw some beautiful things in nature. It's spring and the desert is in bloom.
Here's Four Peaks topped with snow.
Over view of Roosevelt Lake.
Views from our campsite.
I was surprised how green the desert was. Everything was in bloom and beautiful.

Strike A Pose

While we were camping we decided to take some photos of us in nature. Here is Armstrong enjoying the nice spring breeze.
Here I am with Precious & Armstrong while overlooking Lake Roosevelt.
Precious & Armstrong relaxing in the blooming flowers.
Aaron with Precious & Armstrong taking a break by the stream. Here I am with Precious & Armstrong at a stream we found while out on our off road adventure.

Rattlesnake in our camp!

While Aaron and I were out 4x4ing with Precious & Armstrong Janae texted us that they had just killed a rattlesnake. We thought they were joking and this is what we found when we returned.
Here is the rattlesnake pieced back together after Ryan decapitated it.
Aaron and Ryan thought the dead snake was pretty cool and wanted to touch it.
Aaron and the rattlesnake.
The boys and the rattlesnake. They tried to get people to pet the snake, but only the boys would touch it.
Blake pointing out the snake. It's crazy how the snake blending right in with the sand. It was coiled under Janae and Ryan's camper. Everyone was taking a nap and the wind blew really hard and it caused the snake to rattle. Ryan got it out from under the trailer and killed it. I am so glad we weren't there when it happened and so glad no one or dog was bit by the snake. Up until the point we left for our off road trip Precious was hanging out under our trailer. I'm so glad no one was dangered by the snake.

Camping Fun

At night we really enjoyed hanging out by the fire until bedtime. Armstrong always found someone's lap to lay on while Precious loved digging in the sand and creating her own bed. She dug quite the nice bed under my chair the first night of camping.
Precious & Armstrong sure loved Janae because she had left over chicken from her dinner. They only had eyes for her.
Kinlee and Armstrong. Armstrong loves Kinlee and follows her everywhere. He loved sitting with her on her camp chair. Here are Aaron and Kinlee playing "Pass the Pigs". They played while I made some chocolate chip cookies for everyone in the trailer. We all played Pass the Pigs. That game was a big hit and we played it many times. The kids loved it.
Here is everyone playing "Gin" by the campfire. We played a lot of card games together and had a great time.

My New Playhouse

I couldn't find Precious today. I started to freak out a little thinking that maybe she had jumped the fence and was out. We aren't too far from the highway so I was getting worried. I went in their playpen and this is what I found.Precious had taken over the old hen house as her new playhouse. She was just sitting in there as happy as could be. She likes tight spaces and dens. She was in heaven because she had a more elevated view of the yard.
Here's a closer shot of our little girl in her playhouse.
Here she is playing in the shade underneath the hen house. I guess I am going to have to clean it out for her to play in it. We had it blocked off with a board before, but today she knocked it over to get in to play. She is such a funny little girl with so much energy for life.

Precious has been having a great day today. In addition to finding a new playhouse for herself she woke up at dawn and was very excited. She had her happy yelp going as she chased the shadows of the birds outside our window. She is always so happy to be alive, she is an example of how to enjoy each second of every day of your life. We sure love our little girl.

Weekend Update

We have been very busy lately and just thought I would drop a line on what we have been up to the last couple of days. Our camera isn't working properly so I apologize for not having pictures. I have been busy helping my dad with his construction company and that has taken up a lot of my time. I've worked on Hunter's bumpers for his crib and hope to finish them soon so he doesn't get caught in the spindles. Aaron has been swamped with real estate. We have a seminar coming up that we are getting ready for and he has been showing property. It's a good busy with business so that is always nice.

On Saturday we went to Flagstaff with Janae and Ryan. Ryan was picking up his kids for spring break so it was fun to surprise the kids. They were so excited to see me and Aaron. We spent the day in Flagstaff and enjoyed Lobsterfest at Red Lobster. It was a fun day. Sunday we just cleaned up the house and hung out. Aaron showed property last night and the couple he was showing a house to lost their dog in the neighborhood. She got out of the car and we had a group looking for her last night. The owners asked us to go home after 1 1/2 hours and they said they would return in the morning. We all still wanted to look for the dog because it was really cold last night and the dog was old and blind, but we decided to honor the owners' wishes. This morning we were still worried about the dog and the owners called and said they found their dog this morning. She was as happy as could be following a lady walking her dog in the neighborhood. We were very glad it was a happy ending for the lost dog. That's about it for us besides work. On that note I better go and get back to work. Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

Spam Blog Postings

We have been getting a lot of spam postings lately on our blog and I have to go in and delete them. To try to limit this, comments have to be reviewed first by Aaron or myself before they actually post to the blog. Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause we just want to get rid of the spam. We look forward to reading everyone's comments!

Happy Birthday Poppy!

This weekend we were able to celebrate Ricardo's birthday at their cabin in Heber. We BBQ'd over a fire at the firepit. It was a pleasant day Saturday temperature wise. It was the perfect day to celebrate a birthday.Hunter & Poppy. Hunter sure enjoys hanging out with his Poppy.
Hunter even got to help Poppy blow out his birthday candles. Sarah made the cake and it was a very delicious and moist chocolate cake.
Hunter then continued to help Poppy open his birthday presents. Hunter is a pro at taking off wrapping paper.
Here's Aaron goofing off during the opening of presents.
Here's Hunter taking out the tissue paper for Poppy while Linda is serving the Birthday Cake. It was a fun birthday party. It was such a nice day on Saturday, it almost reached the 70's up here. Then Sunday we woke up to dark skies and it started snowing. I am soooo ready for the spring. I am tired of snow, but it was nice to have a taste of spring on Friday and Saturday.
