Oak Flat Campground

This weekend we went camping with my family. It was a lot of fun. We camped at Oak Flat in between Superior and Globe. It was so nice to take our camper out and use it. We had a great time together. We played horseshoes and Frisbee. We went hiking and 4 x4ing. It was nice to get away and relax and have some fun.Trent, Ashton and Janae enjoying Saturday morning breakfast.
Precious. She sure loves camping.
Merrill & Kevin trying to start a fire.
Aaron & Armstrong hanging out together.
Armstrong & Aaron by the creek. Armstrong sure loves the water!

Water Dogs

Armstrong, Cali & Titus all loved playing in the water. They were quite the entertainment on Saturday. Everyone gathered around the water and watched them jump in and out of the water. Janae's dogs loved to drink it. Armstrong looks so little next to Cali & Titus, but they sure enjoy playing together.
We camped near a creak and Armstrong loved playing in the water.
I like this photo of him. He just wanted to hang out in the water
Look at that jump!
He jumped several times off of the rocks. He loved it!

Relaxing

While we were camping we were able to have some down time and relax.Armstrong the "King of Relaxation and Comfort!"
Going, Going, . . .
Gone.
Relaxing in the Trailer. He always goes straight to the pillows.
One of the rare times Precious was actually laying down. She was always running around and chasing things. She loves camping and being outdoors.

Remembering Valentine's Day

I know it's a week after Valentine's Day, but I thought it was nice to reflect and remember how lucky I am.For Valentine's breakfast I made pink heart pancakes. These two are actually for Precious & Armstrong. They love holidays because they get people food. Aaron had a plate full of heart pancakes.
We like to keep Valentine's simple and just spend time together. We had a nice meal at home, courtesy of chef Aaron and watched a movie. He always makes wonderful dinners. I don't think he can make a bad meal. He also brought me home lilies. They are my absolute favorite flower. I love how they smell. He picked out a bouquet that was half in bloom and half that hadn't bloomed yet so I could enjoy them longer. This is a picture of them today and they are so beautiful and I love smelling them throughout the house. It's nice to have a day just to spend together and focus on each other.
Here's my little guy. He is always hungry. I swear he is the bottomless pit. He is always banging on his food container wanting more food.
Precious loves caves. We moved these cabinets into the office. I had it open to put supplies away and when I turned around this is what I found. She is so funny.

I feel so lucky to have Aaron, Precious & Armstrong in my life. They are so great and provide so much love and joy in my life.

Day Camp

We have had quite the busy weekend. Aaron had to show a lot of property for Real Estate and I had 3 plans to finish up. We wanted to go and do something fun this weekend, but due to work we couldn't take the weekend off. So Sunday we went to Roosevelt Lake and met up with Janae and Ryan for lunch. They camped the weekend there. It was nice to get away for just a couple of hours. Here's Aaron and Armstrong playing fetch around the creek. Armstrong loves playing in the water and running in the sand.

Both of our babies playing fetch with Aaron.
Precious & Andrea along the creek. I'm suprised that it's turning green already. I can't wait for spring!

Our New Marine!

We have a new marine in the family! Monday and Tuesday of this week, my brother Ashton went up to Phoenix to do some testing to become a Marine. He is very excited about it and feels like he has found his calling in life. College really didn't appeal to him, but once he decided to be a marine, he has never been so sure of anything in his life. He wants to make a difference in this world and is very excited to serve his country. It is nice to know that there are still people out there that feel this way. He will make a great marine and we are very proud of him!!!

He turns 18 in May and has signed a letter of commitment to go to boot camp this November. He said he knows basic training will be tough but when he looks back on it he will be proud of his accomplishment. He wants to be a fireman as a career and was very interested in what the marines have to offer. Way to go Ashton!

Time for Some Changes

I know January 1st is usually the day people make resolutions for change, it just took me longer to figure out what I wanted to change in my life. I feel like I haven't been living life to the fullest and there are so many more things that I would like to do with my life and things I would like to change.

My first major change came about 2-3 weeks ago. I had long hair and I decided to chop it all off. I was sick and tired of how it wouldn't hold a curl and it was always getting in knots despite braiding it and brushing it constantly so I decided time for a change. I woke up one day and decided to cut it. The hair stylist cut off over 12 inches. It is so nice not having to hassle with it and it dries much faster!

With this move we had we discovered we had a lot of junk and why are we keeping it all? I have been in de-junking mode and have come to sort out my priorities. I got rid of half of my clothes and half of my shoes. I used to love scrapbooking, but to tell you the truth I don't have the time for it so I am selling all of my scrapbooking materials and supplies. It actually feels good to be getting rid of things that are holding me back and taking up space. I always feel guilty for not scrapbooking, but when I sit down to do it, it makes a mess and it takes me forever to come up with an idea. I've decided to stick with my quilting and sewing and give up scrapbooking. If I feel like scrapbooking I will visit my mom or do it online.

Aaron and I want to become physically fit again. We used to be, but we lost sight of that. We have set up a nice work out room and have kept all clutter away from it (it used to be in my craft room and my crafts would take it over therefore no working out happened).
Next I want to go through the kitchen and get rid of dishes and gadgets I don't use regularly then onto the garage and whatever we stored in the attic. I'm sick of all the things we have, but don't use. We have to move it everywhere. We might as well sell it to someone that will use it.

It feels really good to be getting rid of baggage. Since changing my diet in December and making healthier decisions, I have already lost 12 pounds. I'm very excited about these changes and hope to continue on with a life that is filled with fun, exercise, travel and no regrets!

More Snow!

Yesterday it started snowing. It was sooo windy. We had wind gusts up to 52mph. The snow was coming down horizontally because the winds were so strong.
We had a SuperBowl Party yesterday and Janae and Ryan came over along with Ryan's dad and step-mom. They have two kids together (Jake & Lexi pictured above) that came too. I had fun playing games with them yesterday. We had a snowball fight and built a snowman. The snow was very dry and hard to stick together, so our snowman was kind of short.
Here is a close up of the snowman. I forget what the kids named him, but his name had the initials of F.B.I.
It snowed all through the night and we probably have over a foot of snow now. Here is Precious in their side yard checking out the birds. I can't believe how hard the snow is still coming down.
Our little creature of comfort, Armstrong, does it right. After playing in the snow, he sat on the rug and warmed himself up next to the heater. You can see the clumps of snow on his belly. He is so funny.
Here's our pretty girl. Precious loves the snow. She's been eating it all morning. Armstrong & Precious have been chasing each other and rolling in the snow all morning. They sure love to play. When the dogs come in from outside, the doggy door acts like a squeegy and takes the snow off their back. Precious has stripes on her back from the snow being removed.
