Velvet's Morning Ritual

Velvet is our special little rabbit. She loves people and she loves snacks. Every morning she bangs around in her cage until I bring her some vegetables. When you pass buy her cage she climbs on the wire wall and sticks her hands and nose out to get your attention for a treat. Here she is getting a carrot.

This is her typical pose to get your attention and look cute to get a snack.

60th Wedding Anniversary

I think I am finally caught up on blogging. At the first part of August we went to Santa Fe to celebrate Aaron's grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary. Here is Aaron with Lorenzo and Frank.
Aaron's grandparents are very inspiring and still in love. It was great to celebrate with them and spend time with Aaron's family. Here are his grandparents dancing their first dance.

1st Dance of the 60th Anniversary

Aaron's grandparents were so cute to watch as they danced their first dance at their 60th Anniversary party. I hope Aaron and I are as happy and in as much love as his grandparents when we reach our 60 year mark.

Road Cycling up Mt. Lemmon

Last weekend Aaron, Merrill and I took a road bike ride up Mt. Lemmon. Here I am with Merrill riding to the base of Mt. Lemmon from our house. Merrill had never ridden Mt. Lemmon before and he did a great job making it up 5.5 miles to Molino Basin.
Merrill & I before we started our ascent up the mountain.
Aaron captured this shot of me climbing the mountain. He is so much faster than me that this was probably the last time he saw me on the way up.
Aaron and I had Windy Point. My baby did so great! He made it to the top! I was a few miles short, but will conquer the mountain in the near future.
Our bikes. They are a great source of transportation for us.

Camping and Mountain Biking on Mt. Lemmon

We went camping up on Mt. Lemmon a couple of weeks ago with our friends Kendall and Chad. We had a great time camping and riding our mountain bikes. Here is Aaron on Butterfly trail.

We even saw 8 wild turkeys.
Aaron did a great job cutting wood for the fire. It was nice and warm.

Precious was very tired too and all snug in her bed.

Visitors from the North

Last week Aaron's brother, Steven, and his family came to visit from Michigan. We were able to meet them for dinner one night and then they came to Tucson for the day and we were able to have breakfast with them. Here we are with our niece Callie at breakfast.

Me and Callie. We haven't seen her since she was born in April. She has grown so much and it was great to see the family while they were in town.

Katlyn's Birthday Party at Chuck E. Cheese

Our niece Katlyn came to visit and we all got together to celebrate her birthday before she went back to Alabama.

Look at that happy birthday girl! Thanks for inviting us to your party Katlyn! We had a great time with you. You are growing up so fast and you are such a smart and beautiful little lady!
